Elizabeth's Baby Food Review: Episode 3

Welcome to the third episode of Elizabeth's Baby Food Review.  I'm Elizabeth, and tonight I'll be sampling carrots.

Let me look at that first. I had a rather unsettling experience with the last episode's food, and I want to make sure that this dish doesn't resemble that one in any way. I guess this might be okay...it's orange instead of that nasty green color.

Oh no. No, this is bad, too. This is terrible, and I demand a refund of my money.  I don't----

Say....this isn't quite as bad as it tasted at first. It's certainly not the worst thing I've tasted (that would be sweet peas, of course). Let me have a little more of that stuff!

This isn't as bad as peas! That's not exactly a ringing endorsement, of course, but I have to admit that I'm relieved!

Maybe this whole solid food stuff isn't so bad.  Maybe I will even like peas someday.  My taste buds are probably maturing more and more every second.

Well...I'd better not get ahead of myself. These carrots are still pretty nasty--just not as nasty as peas.

Well, that's it for this episode of Elizabeth's Baby Food Review.  Join us next week for a special holiday episode.  I'm hoping mashed potatoes taste a lot better than carrots or peas!

Mother's Note: She wasn't too happy with those carrots, but she seemed to like them more than the peas.  I wish I'd had our video recorder going, because I swear she went "Ugh!" after one of the bites.  It was hilarious!

  2. What a wonderful and creative way to catalog Elizabeth's journey. I wish I had done this for my boys.

    She is adorable.

  3. Kiri, her faces are lots of fun to document. We can spend hours just staring at her and watching the faces she makes. :)

  4. Gayl, it's a lot of fun to do--so far, she's being pretty cooperative in the whole venture. What is especially nice is that it's getting her used to the camera. She would always just stare at the camera before, but now she realizes that I'm behind the lens and she'll smile more. :)
